We bought Willow from Susan Buck of Nuforest Dachshunds in Southern California in the winter of 1997. She was our first show quality dachshund and she taught us everything we know about the dog show world. There wasn't a lot of dachshund competition here in Alaska when we started out - together my daughter Nicole and I finished her after three years of showing. She was Nicole's junior showmanship dog, and what a delight it was to watch them together! Willow was bred a couple of times but we never got a puppy out of her that we wanted to continue our lines with. At 11 years old she is the retired queen of the house, still as bright-eyed and mischievous as ever!
